Then you add to the equation the fact they try to appeal to a person’s humanity by trying to make them feel sorry for them, ergo the dying from cancer story, now that is really despicable. Man, I can’t believe the crap you can get in your inbox these days. This latest one is supposedly from the FBI saying that with their help I’ve been cleared to receive some $850,ooo. What, they haven’t got enough on their plate that they have the time to have a “Series of meetings have been held over the past 7 months with the secretary general of the United Nations Organization.” all for some Aussie that lives clear over the other side of the world that they’ve never heard of, and all without me even asking them to step in?

Are they for real? Not only is this a phishing scam, they’re also trying to suck some money out of me. Naturally this email is a pile of crap and isn’t fit to wipe your arse with. Why these people insist on using gmail or yahoo as their email address is ludicrous. Oh yeah, that’s right they couldn’t really use one from coke because they don’t actually work there do they?

I also found it strange that, seeing how it was supposed to have originated in England and all, how they used a dollar sign instead of the English pound sign. The English is also a little off which suggests it’s probably from somewhere else, possibly Nigeria.

It’s obviously a phishing attempt, and a pretty poor one at that. Still, I reckon someone will fall for it. Don’t let that someone be you!

The thing to remember is no-one is going to send you an email saying you won the lottery when you never bought a ticket. That will only happen if you actually buy one online. You can do that at a site like Buy Lottery Tickets Online which allows you to buy your lottery tickets online from any of the major lotteries in the world.

It doesn’t matter what the global economy is doing there are people out there who are trying to scam money from those who are way too trustworthy.

As the following video shows those more susceptible to scams are the elderly because of their more trusting nature. Perhaps they trust in these phone insurance salesmen and other rip off merchants because they’ve come to a time in their life where they just don’t want to make the effort of checking up on them.

The scum in this video that perpetuated the scam was a man called Virgil Womack. The good news is that they finally caught the scum but unfortunately not everyone got their money back.

Take note, there are scams everywhere and if it sounds too good to be true it probably is. Before investing any money it’s probably best to check with your accountant or business adviser first. There are so many things wrong with this email it’s laughable.

1. What professional writes the whole thing in capitals.
2. The moron is using a gmai account! What head honcho of a major corporation would use a gmail account?
3. Why would anyone end out an email to a complete stranger for the purpose of ripping of any company?

Man, these assholes are starting to get tricky. Usually you get an email that tries and sells you some cock and bull story about how you won some money and all you need to do is to provide some simple information in order to collect the cash. This is called phishing and is all about ‘fishing’ for your personal  information so that they can use it for their own evil purposes.

Well the email that I received today is different in that it doesn’t ask for that information directly. It still tells me that I won the lottery, one that Facebook is running. Using a well known company is a standard procedure that they use to legitimize themselves. As you can see from the copy of the email I posted below it sends you to a website which embellishes on the email trying to suck you in even further. Check out the email.

I’ve just received another email which is obviously a phishing attempt.  Their reason for existence is to garner information from the recipient which is then used against them. Their obvious ‘fishing’ attempt is so they can use this information to rip off their victims at a later date, and if they get enough information off them they may even have an attempt at identity theft.

In their attempt at getting this information they will use the name of a reputable company to legitimize the email, in this case it was Lexus. Heck they’ve even used Microsoft as a partner in gaining my email ID which they pulled out of some fictitious hat or something in order for me to win the prize.

Naturally the prize is pretty big as they want to wet my appetite so that I will give them the information they require to rip me off. Here is a copy of the email.

There are obviously more than one person using this email to scam people as I’ve received more than one email. This alone should trigger alarm bells but apparently it doesn’t. If you received this pile of bullshit in your inbox do yourself a favor and delete it. I’m sorry, but this email I got today is just too much, I couldn’t help but laugh while I was reading it. To think that the moron who wrote it would actually think that there would be a bigger moron out there who would fall for it. Don’t let it be you.
