I’ve just finished watching Julia Gillard, Greg Combet the Minister for climate change and energy efficiency and our esteemed second in charge Wayne Swan. They were on National TV trying to sell their carbon tax. I noticed while they were crapping on that they had a website, cleanenergy.gov.au as it was listed under the telecast. Don’t bother going there though because at the time of me posting this it didn’t exist. OK, the actual website should be cleanenergyfuture.gov.au! If they can’t even make sure their website goes live on time what hope have we that they got they got their modelling right.

The whole point of that telecast was to get the electorate to believe that they will be better off under the carbon tax. To help sell this idea they’re offering a lot to help sweeten the deal, things like;

• Nine out of ten households will be compensated with tax cuts. That’s around 6 million households! I think they plan to do that by lifting the tax free threshold to 18000
• Single pensioners will get $338 per year whilst pensioner couples get $510 per year.
• Then there was a whole lot of malarky where they will be spending billions of dollars to ensure people in those industries that will get hardest by this tax will not be effected.

Personally I can’t see how they can factor in all the variables into their modelling. They can’t know how much those companies will pass onto their customers and knowing them they will use favourable figures because they have to make the model look favourable to the Australian public. If say the electricity companies decide to pass it onto their customers, say the manufacturers, who will pass it onto their customers, let’s say the wholesalers who will pass it onto their cutovers and so on and so on. That’s not even including all the steps in between such as transport costs and the like. Do they really believe that an insignificant amount of $500 a year will cover those costs?

Why was I not surprised when I woke up to hear that rioters had torched the Villawood detention centre? Perhaps where they come from violence is the accepted solution when things don’t go their way but it’s definitely not the right thing to do if you’re wanting to be accepted into Australia. It appears that the riot was spurred by rejected asylum seekers, but what I want to know is why these people who had their claim rejected allowed to stay with the general population where they could fuel this riot with their anger at not getting their way?

The fault would have to rest with the current government whose weakened policies allowed the large influx of boat people. I understand that they do not like to be kept incarcerated in detention centres but they have to understand that they have entered our shores illegally and they have to be processed before they can be accepted as refugees. A process that would probably go a lot faster if they had not destroyed all their papers before coming here. What’s with that anyway, I mean what have they to hide?

Also, it must be awful to be kept behind laser wire but surely its better than the country they are running away from, a country where they feared for their lives? As awful as it must be I’m sure they are better off than all the homeless Australians who have no idea where their next meal is coming from? At least they have a roof over their heads, access to food, a computer room,  and a medical centre. At least they did before the rioters torched the computer room, kitchen and medical centre.

They want to be treated humanely and yet they act like animals throwing roof tiles and whatever else they could find at fire fighters and policemen. How fortunate for them that they are in Australia because had they acted in such a manner in their homeland I’m sure their government would not be so lenient with them.

I only hope that those behind the riots are dealt with swiftly and that they are not allowed refugee status. We do not need people who take the law into their own hands every time things do not go their way.

After stabbing Rudd in the back last year Julia Gillard proceeds to stab Australians in the back by lying about the carbon tax. Now she tells us she changed her mind because it was necessary, much to the disgust of many Australians. Let’s remember that the Labor government got in by the skin of their teeth in the last election, one they would have lost had they not promised that a carbon would not be part of their policy.

What I cam’t work out is how this carbon tax is going to change anything other than adding a huge burden on most Australians.  What makes it worse is that no-one knows what the carbon tax involves. You would think she would have the brains to work out how it was all going to work before making the reversal.

So, let’s ay that they tax those bad boys who are producing most of the carbon, what do you think their reaction will be? Yep, they will up their prices which means they are no worse off. If anything they could actually increase the prices to an extent where they are actually better off. If that’s the case why would they worry about the carbon tax at all.

Let’s say that they can do something more efficiently why aren’t they doing it now. Obviously the cost is too great otherwise they would have done it by now. Considering they have the added cost of the carbon tax where are they going to get the money to make the changes required to reduce the amount of carbon they produce?

Julia says that they will use the carbon tax collected to help those in a lower income. What happens to the rest of it? Will it be used to line the politician’s pockets? Isn’t funny how we have to tighten out belts where they increase their salary?

One of the arguments I’ve seen supporting the carbon tax is they say that Australians are one of the largest carbon produces per capita. I reckon one of the reasons for this is because of Australia’s size and the fact that we have to transport goods over a larger area than the smaller countries. That and the fact that most of our power is produced by burning coal. Perhaps if we could build some nuclear generators, but no the Greens won’t have that.

I honestly feel that this carbon tax will cause more harm than good and apart from costing us more it will also cost jobs and perhaps even go as far as forcing more companied overseas where carbon tax does not exist.

No bullshit, I sometimes wonder about the people running this country of ours. What really pisses me off is that the opposition is just as quiet about the latest fiasco to hit Aussie shores. I’m referring to the foreign land grab where foreign investors are being allowed to buy up prime agricultural land and water rights without anyone monitoring what is going on. No-one knows how much has been sold or is still being sold and no-one seems to care.

If this goes unchecked it could turn out to be a catastrophe! You don’t believe me? Then answer me this; What are the most important things that are required to sustain life? The obvious answer is food and water, so by selling off our prime agricultural land and water rights we may as well hand our country over to the foreigners. I’m not kidding, by giving them our most prized possession we are putting our heads on the chopping block. Once they control enough farmland and water they don’t have to invade Australia to take control, they just have to stop the food and water supply until we capitulate.

OK, that may be a little on the extreme side but it’s always a possibility were we to lose control of our land. Our farmers are already struggling because of the cheaper imports that are flooding our markets. Many are going broke meaning less produce being grown causing higher prices leading to cheaper imports.

We could help our farmers if everyone stopped buying foreign produce, but this is bloody impossible because of our stupid labelling laws, laws which Nick Xenophon, in his Senate Debate, calls a joke.

So, what are we going to do about it? We have to call our local MP’s telling them that this bullshit just isn’t on and that we want it to stop. These dumb ass politicians may be running the country but they seem to forget that they work for us and if they don’t do what we want, and we want what is best for our beautiful country, then we will kick them out.

There is one other thing you can do and that is to visit Leon Byner‘s Don’t Sell Australia Short FaceBook fan page. Go there, leave a comment and like it. To date it has 4371 likes and it can do with a lot more as Leon will be presenting this to the politicians to show them how we feel about this matter.

When a politician is fighting to win or retain government they will all make promises to win over the electorate. We as the public expect them to keep their promises wherever possible. In the last election on of the hot topics of discussion was the carbon tax and Julia knowing the were not hot on having one promised the Australia public that while in government she would not introduce a carbon tax. Don’t believe me? Watch this video.

There are a lot of videos on YouTube showing just the promise but I’ve chosen this one because it shows her trying to get around it. Like one of the reporters asked her why not just say you changed your mind? Because that would mean admitting she was wrong and she much rather try to baffle the Australian public with her bullshit.

In the AdelaideNow online poll asking whether people supported a price on carbon almost 20000 people responded and 84% said no! And so they should because putting a price on carbon is more than just an extra tax, one that may cost Australians an extra $20 per week, it could cripple Australian industry forcing some to go overseas and the smaller companies to close down. This is understandable because it makes us even more uncompetitive when forced to compete on a market where many countries do not have a carbon tax.

What I don’t understand is how it will reduce the amount of carbon spewed out into the atmosphere it all we’re doing is charging companies for the amount of carbon produced. So in essence they will still be producing carbon but paying for it and then passing the cost onto everyone else. It makes no sense whatsoever.

Personally I think they should introduce nuclear energy and it’s the only one able to produce enough electricity to support the nation. Wind energy and the like just can’t produce enough and it’s cost is way higher.

I know that there are many people who would answer yes to this question but I personally disagree. It’s not that I don’t have a heart either, it’s only because I feel they should only gain entry once they have been fairly processed.

Just because they seem to be fleeing from a country of persecution does not necessarily give them right to entry. We don’t know their background, whether they’re murderers, rapists or even potential terrorists. Take those who are fleeing Afghanistan for instance, you would think that once they had made it to India they would be free from being persecuted and they could seek temporary asylum there. Once there they could take the proper avenues to come to Australia legally. But no, they have to travel from there to Indonesia or Malaysia or something and then they are willing to pay thousands of dollars to risk their life on a rickety boat to Australia.

I’ve even heard that they destroy all papers that identify who they are. Why would they do that unless someone is feeding them some crap? The thing is that failure to produce the right papers only makes processing them that much more difficult causing unnecessary delay.

There is a reason we patrol our shores at great expense, and that is to protect our country. When the liberals were in government the amount of boat people were kept at a minimum but under the current labor government they have jumped astronomically and only because they perceive an easier passage into Australia.

If we want to prevent the loss of life the logical thing to do would be to make it harder for them to come over. We have to stop stories of a life where they get everything handed to them on a silver platter. Only if we stop them from attempting the voyage can we prevent the loss of life.

Opening our arms to them would only encourage more of them to take the risky voyage and this only increases the potential for loss of life.

I often wonder why so many of them, once they get placed into detention centers while waiting to get processed, get so upset, that they have to sew their lips together in protest or to go on hunger strikes or to even go to the extent of setting buildings alight? Surely now that they have reached Australia and have escaped persecution they should have the decency to wait patiently while they get processed? We give them food, a roof over their heads and access to our legal system, all at our expense. I would hate to think what would have happened to them if they acted in such a way in their own country.

This stupid Labor Government has done a lot of idiotic things since it’s been in power but this is beyond belief. I’ve just discovered that it has graciously granted our loyal soldiers who are fighting in Afghanistan the right to a couple of beers over Christmas. Nothing wrong with that you say, those diggers have earned the right to have a couple of beers. And too right you are too, but those morons over in Canberra are going to charge them $5 a can for the privilege.

You don’t believe me do you? I mean no government would be that mean spirited, would they? Although this article blames it all on the Defence Department we all know who they answer to and who has the power to tell them to pull their heads in. Come on you wankers, do the right thing and shout our diggers a couple of beers over Christmas.

Now before anybody starts getting upset I’m not saying that Market Samurai is bullshit at all. I’m merely stating a question that many prospective buyers might be asking before they hand over their hard earned money.

Although I was able to take Market Samurai for a trial run by trying the free version I decided to purchase it outright as I could see the sense in the 35% saving by buying it before the trial run out. This was a saving of $52 bringing the cost down to $97.

Before doing so I sent a Tweet out to my followers to see if anyone was using it and what they thought of it. It got a 100% approval rate, which I thought was pretty phenomenal.

There was another reason for purchasing it though, something one of my Twitter pals mentioned, that only members were allowed to become affiliates and being an affiliate brought a whole lot of income all on it’s own. This sounds completely reasonable as I’ve made more money on affiliates I’ve tried and believed in than in any other affiliates I’ve been promoting.

I decided I would get started promoting the trial version of Market Samurai because I felt once people gave it a run and saw what it could do they couldn’t help but buy it so they could promote if for themselves.

So, is Market Samurai bullshit? Well, until I’ve tested it out, which could take awhile as I’m flat chat at the moment, I can’t give you an answer, but watch this space as I will being doing updates whenever I can. I can say one thing though, these guys are professionals and I can tell that by the quality of their site, the amount of information  they have on keyword research and marketing and by the amount of support that is available. You don’t get this by those backyard ripoff merchants.
