I got the email with the phone number. Rang it up out of interest. It’s very clever but the Amarican accent is the giveaway.

You would have thought with all that effort (technology, spem setup etc) they’d have worked on an Aussie accent!

Hey Derek, you were quick off the mark mate. I’ve only just posted this and there you are commenting on it. I think it’s important to post this sort of articles as many people don’t bother contacting their banks, but they do search the Internet to see whether certain emails are legit. This post is aimed at them.
