Fake Sanford Institution For Savings Survey

by BS Artist on April 3, 2009

I would just like to warn anyone who has received the following email that they should disregard it as it’s more than likely just phishing for information. You won’t get $80 for a reward, all you will probably get is a lot of heartache.

Congratulations!

You have been selected by Sanford Institution For Savings Online Department to take part in our quick and easy reward survey.
In return we will credit $80 to your account – Just for your time!

Helping us better understand how our members feel, benefits everyone.
With the information collected we can decide to direct a number of changes to improve and expand our services.
The information you provide us is all non-sensitive and anonymous. No part of it is handed down to any third party groups.
It will be stored in our secure database for maximum of 3 days while we process the results of this nationwide survey.

To access the form, please click on the link below :

(Just so you know the above link will actually take you to this address http://host81-137-196-167.in-addr.btopenworld.com/survey/ which doesn’t seem to have anything to do with the link show. In short, this email is Bullshit!

It is amazing that this stuff still works. I get them all the time in my spam folder and I read them from time to time.

Somebody must be filling these things out, I suppose you only need to send a few million of these emails to find some idiots.

I have been getting the Nigeria $50M scam lately (or variations of it).

That is so true Greg, but you have to admit this one is a little different from the normal phishing email.
