I had a client fall for a similar one a couple of weeks ago... that was about the expiry of his card so he happily went along to the phishing site and entered all of his details! Luckily he emails me everytime he does anything related to his business so I was quickly on the phone to him to get him to cancel his credit card and change his passwords. I keep getting these – especially adwords related ones. They look extremely like the real thing and even as a ’savvy’ internet user I nearly fell for it.

I feel sorry for the less savvy users in this modern world!

It would be so cool if there was a way to trace these emails back to the scum that send them out and make them pay for plaguing so many people.

Many I’m sure. As with the other ones, they feed on the paranoid….plenty of supply for their demand unfortunately.
