This has got to be the biggest pile of bullshit I have come across in awhile. Not that my hero from ‘Blade’ was arrested but that this famous star, who has obviously made millions from his career has decided that he is better than everybody else and should not pay taxes.
What the hell is it with these people that makes them believe that they are better than everybody else?
What did Snipes have to say? After leaving the hearing he did say, “I look forward to clearing my name and resolving this issue posthaste.” Gee I hope so, it would be great to see that my faith in him was not misplaced.
After looking into this a little further it seems that the judge may have been a little harsh, wanting to make an example of Snipes. If this is true then it really is bullshit because just as he shouldn’t be given any privileges for being a celebrity, he certainly shouldn’t be given a harsher sentence just because he has made a name for himself.

If he hired a good tax lawyer/accountant he wouldn’t have to worry so much about taxes. I like his work but he’s gotta pay his share. I know I couldn’t get away with not paying my taxes. I hate seeing a good portion of my paycheck disappear but it’s what we gotta do.

Have you ever looked up what income tax pays?
It is safe to say not only would our country not fall apart, we wouldn’t even notice.
Wesley was not fighting it for the money. It takes so much money and time. He was fighting it for principle. It is hard to fight which is why he gave up! Not only was he made an example of our government ASKED the judge to sentence him on all 5 charges, EVEN THOUGH he was only found guilty on 2. There is so much more to this than the average American knows.

Can anyone show me the law that says Snipes has to pay federal income tax and file?
Lofty and unprovable arguments about the country falling apart aside, show me the LAW that says he HAS to pay and I will agree with those who say he has to pay his fair share.
