Chastity Belts Are Back In Indonesia

by BS Artist on April 20, 2008

Well, here is an interesting story. It seems that a lot of massage parlors in Indonesia are a front for prostitution (Shock, Horror) and in an endeavor to curb this situation they have introduced a padlock which is to be worn by staff before entering the room with their clients. The padlock is then removed on completion of the massage.

the only thing is that it has ruffled certain feathers, especially that of the country’s women’s affairs minister who says, “It is not the right way to prevent promiscuity,” the Jakarta Post quoted Meutia Swasonom. She goes on to say that, “It insults women … as if they are the ones in the wrong.”

Gee, I don’t know that it is insulting and I would like to hear from her what she believes to be “the right way to prevent promiscuity.” Maybe the story isn’t BS as such but I just thought it was an interesting topic.
