Japan Killing Whales For Scientific Research

by BS Artist on January 24, 2008

After watching this video one has to wonder at the beauty of these majestic creatures and how a nation can hunt these and other whales under the guise of a so called scientific research program. Fortunately because of public outcry, these whales have been saved, but not so for some other species.

Although Greanpeace is doing what it can to hinder Japanese from slaughtering, they continue on their merry way.

As for their so called “scientific research program”, all I can say is

What A Load Of Bullshit

I'd love a beer, & that's no bull!

I couldn’t watch the video (my brother’s comp is acting up) but wonder about the “scientific research” thing. If it were REAL research, wouldn’t they say more than that??? Wouldn’t it be more than a “catch-all” excuse?

It’s a BS excuse Spooky and a lame one at that. It’s obvious that these poor mammals are heading for the dining table and it would be a shame if they ended up as a extinct species just so some people can tempt their palate.

You know I totally support your anti- whaling protest and sentiments. The NZ airforce is currently patrolling the Ross Sea area and monitoring the Japs progress.

Unfortunately the Ross Sea is not exactly NZ territory, only our search and rescue area. I world love to see a Kiwi frigate escorting the Japs out of there, but it won’t happen. All we can do is to support Greenpeace protests.

Apparently it’s pretty wild out there in the Ross sea, who knows maybe they will get lost.
